Meet our team

Luis is the Founder and CEO of BlueBox Wealth Management, a regulated investment advisory firm based in Geneva. With over 30 years in the financial industry, his experience covers a wide range of functions, from corporate finance to securities trading to managing mutual funds and investment portfolios. He has been based in Switzerland for the last 16 years, where he arrived in 2004 as the General Manager of American Express Bank (Switzerland) and Member of the Bank’s EMEA Management Committee. Luis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

Gely joined BlueBox Wealth Management in late 2014. She is responsible for economic analysis to generate house views, strategic allocation, and the selection and monitoring of traditional & alternative funds. Prior to joining BlueBox, Gely worked for Deutsche Bank Private Banking in Geneva. She was also an economic consultant in Solidea Consultores in Mexico where she advised clients regarding the economic situation and FX positions. Gely holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from ITAM and a Master in Finance and Accounting (Hons) from Fribourg University. She has won awards by several institutions including Harvard Business School, Citigroup, Deloitte, and the Mexican National Congress.

Bob joined BlueBox Asset Management in 2020, as Chief Operating Officer, in charge of distribution, marketing and operations. The previous 22 years were spent in the aviation industry, including 20 years with British Airways, and prior to that Bob served with the British Army and the Canadian Air Force. Robert holds a degree in Engineering from Exeter University.

William spent 20 years at BlackRock and its predecessors Mercury & Merrill Lynch, covering the technology sector. Portfolio manager since 2000, from 2008 to 2017 he was the sole portfolio manager for BlackRock’s offshore global technology fund, achieving top decile performance. Prior to BlackRock, William served in the British Army. He had already started his career in finance by previously qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. This is key to his success as a tech investor: his deep understanding of accounting and the financial measures of value creation enable him to focus on finding business models that create long-term investor value from technology and innovation.

Rupert has been investing in global public equities since 2011, as co-manager of the LGM Frontier Fund, as Portfolio Manager at Rokos Family Office, and since 2019 as co-manager of the BlueBox Global Technology Fund. Prior to his investing career, Rupert worked for 2 years at McKinsey & Co, followed by 5 years as a consultant with Sophron Partners (now CACI-UK), 3 years as a sell-side analyst at Afrinvest/UBA Capital, and 1 year as Special Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Rupert holds a DPhil in Neuroscience from Oxford, an MSc in Economics from London and has been a CFA charter holder since 2008.

Mark joined BlueBox in 2022 to launch the BlueBox Precision Medicine Fund. He has been researching and investing in the Healthcare sector since 2006. Prior to BlueBox he was the Lead Portfolio Manager of a pharmaceuticals and biotechnology fund at Norges Bank Investment Management for 6 years. He also spent 3 years at Blackrock as a global healthcare analyst and 6 years at Citi in a leading equity research team covering European pharmaceuticals. He holds a Masters in Pharmacy and became a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with KPMG. This combination is critical for evaluating businesses that create lasting value through innovation in the biopharmaceutical sector.

Olga joined BlueBox Wealth Management in 2021. She has been working with Angeles on investment analysis and client portfolio management. She became involved with BlueBox Funds shortly after completing her first 6 month with the company, and is working with Bob on marketing, account openings, ad hoc reporting for current and potential clients. Prior to BlueBox, Olga was working for a Ukrainian Commodity Trader: Metinvest International. During her 8 year tenure she worked as an accountant, Open Account operator and Treasury analyst, responsible for financing attributions, receivables financing and factoring. Olga studied International Relations and Media Comms at Webster University in Geneva.

Jannik joined BlueBox Asset Management in June 2022 as Head of Sales and Investment Specialist. Based in Luxembourg, he is in charge of fund sales and distribution. He has a broad experience in both, the private banking as well as asset management industry. Prior to joining BlueBox, Jannik was Head of Sales Management for UBS Global Wealth Management Luxembourg and worked as an Investment Fund Specialist at Deutsche Bank International Private Bank. He started his career as a graduate at BlackRock, working for the groups Aladdin financial technology business. Jannik holds an MSc degree in Corporate Finance from Lund University, Sweden.
